Recycled Polyester School Uniforms

Turning ocean-bound plastic into premium school uniforms — without compromising on performance or durability.

From Bottles to Blazers

Each Kapes recycled polyester blazer is made from approximately 12 post-consumer plastic bottles. The PET is collected, cleaned, shredded into flakes, and extruded into high-quality yarn that's indistinguishable from virgin polyester in look and feel.

GRS Certified

Our recycled polyester carries Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification, verifying the recycled content percentage, responsible production practices, and chain of custody from waste collection to finished garment.

Performance Benefits

Recycled polyester retains all the performance properties schools love: wrinkle resistance, colour retention, shape memory, and quick drying. It's particularly suited for blazers, trousers, and sportswear where durability is paramount.

Reducing Microplastic Impact

We're honest: all polyester sheds microfibres when washed. That's why we treat our recycled polyester with fibre-locking finishes and recommend Guppyfriend wash bags. We also invest in microfibre filtration research because the problem needs solving, not ignoring.
